CAUTION ( You may use and modify the game, "Master of States", however if you name your modified version of this game the same name as the original version to redistribute, it may be a crime.  Please don't do this because the users can not identify a game they got with the original version )
If you want to modify this game for your mother tongue, please consult with the developer about the name of the game for the version management.  Your mother tongue version might overwrite another languge version.   Please avoid a chaos.


-Programs for the languages other than English are different from each other.-
As you know, every language has a unique word order. And "mos" shows the words in the sentences in order.
Consequetly some language versions must have a different code from the original English version to show its unique language.
Then some language versions do not have a comatibility to show other   languages.
What I want to say is that keep the version name rule and be careful of the word order when you modify "mos" for your tongue.

Developer of "mos", asunaro decided to upload "mos0.982" soon for the advertisement of this web site. (You can switch off this ad by -v option.).
This version shows the locations of the capitals of the states.  However it shows all the locations, though the map looks messy.  ( "mos0.983" may be able to show only the location of the state which you select at the first stage.)
And in this version if your house is at a water front, it may be also at a water front.


Now mos0.982 is here. (2013. 6. 30.)
This version does not overwrite the old versions except for the data of state&capital, countries, world map and topography.  This means that if you have your mother tongue version, your mother tongue will be overwritten except for the texts in the main script by this version.  This overwriting will occur even if the main script of your tongue version has a unique name because your version may have the same name data files as the ones of the English version. However this version will not change any content of the old English versions.  In short you can use all the English versions intactly.

mos0.983 is almost completed and under the final test.  It shows the location of the capital of the state you select at the first stage.

In mos0.984, the shapes of the maps for the topographical quizzes other than the quizzes for the states will be matched with the ones for the states.

Yesterday (July 4) a linux machine for the "mos" development was in a disorder and that was the loss of the work-spaces switch function and the minimized windows list function on the panel.  In the morning of today asunaro fixed these functions.  However, if a mysterious disoder like one of yesterday keeps happening in the future, the development of "mos" may not progress.

Now mos0.983 is here. (2013. July 8.)

This version does not over write the old versions except for the data of state&capital, countries, world map and topography.  You can use all the English versions intactly.

The developer of Master of States became aware of some wrong explanations in the some sub scripts, ".cusam_xxx_*" and "state_capital_pointer".

These wrong explanations will be corrected in versions after mos0.984.  Asunaro has felt sorry about the confusion by these bugs.

The corrected comments must be as follows:  (The bugs are due to the developer, however asunaro recommends you to leave the wrong explanations

as these are because these do not effect at all in the function of the game.)

at the top in ".cusam_xxx_*"
 # .cusam_* - Sub script to make the color(s) of the state(s) the main script (mos) indicates
 # by this from the original one to white.

at the top in "state_capital_pointer"

And only in mos0.984, an additional comment, "XXX indicates the decimal part of the version number.  In this file, it indicates 984" will be put

mos0.984 will be uploaded by the end of July.  If that version won't be uploaded, it means that the computer for the game development was broken
or the upload was interrupted forever, or asunaro was arrested or dead.  In case of a development delay by a heavy disturbance, that vrsion will be

uploaded without the topographical map modifications.  However, under any circumstances, the above corrections for the explanations will be done
in that version because the developer fixed these bugs already.

Asunaro has already uploaded the four versions of "mos", mos0.963, mos0.981, mos0.982 and mos0.983.  The developler uploads the archived
file, "archives.tar" including the script files to archive the files each version needs. List of the scripts archives.tar has is as follows:

you to execute the scripts because these will make some archive files.(You may think that the developer must upload file lists instead of the scripts.
Sorry but you are right. Asunaro is lazy.)  Anyway this action of the scripts does not damage your computer at all.
The developler uploads the scripts to inform you of the set of files each version of the game needs.  Please confirm the file sizes and time stamps
of the files because a pirate may also make pirated scripts.
The file size of "archives.tar" is 10.0KB and the time stamp depends on the sever you use because it is recorded when the file is uploaded.

Advice from the developer, on July 16 2013
If you have a pirated version of "mos" and need to use the original English versions at the same time, the developer recommends you
to add a new user to Linux.  Linux provides you with an exclusive home directory per user.  Login as a user other than one for your
mother tongue to install the English versions.  If you keep using the original English versions in a clean directory having no other language
versions, you can avoid an undesirable over write.

The developer decided to change the name of the next version from "mos0.985" to "mos0.9841" because the version-up is minor.

The main scripts (mos0.9xx) of the old versions of the game (mos0.963 ~ mos0.984) includes comment lines (starting from #)
for a function test.  These lines will perform if "#" is removed.
These function test lines look the same as the comment lines for the explanations which will cause errors without "#".
In the versions after mos0.9841, the function test lines starts from "##" for the users' understanding.
And all function test lines will be removed in the version 1.0.

The developer became aware of a further explanation bug in a file, .worldmap in "~scripts/data".
The head-line commnet (under the comment, #!/bin/bash) of the file must be as follows:

You need one of the older versions or newer version ("mos0.9841") to work "mos0.984" (not "mos0.9841") becasue it needs
"changeable_initializeANSI" in "~/scripts/bin/" but it does not have it. ("mod0.9841" can fix this bug of "mos0.984".)
Please install one of the older versions or "mos0.9841" to work "mos0.984". Or it will also work if you make a file named
"changeable_initializeANSI" from "changeable_capital_initializeANSI" of the version in "~/scripts/bin/" by copying.
You don't have to change the code of "changeable_capital_initializeANSI" when you make the copy.
However you have to keep also "changeable_capital_initializeANSI" because "mos0.984" needs the both of them.
Sorry for the mistake.

The developer decided to release "mos0.9842" of which code is exactly the same as one of "mos0.9841" except codes to indicate
directories and for a version identification, because the names of the directories of the existing versions (before "mos0.9841") are
so ordinary that the users may want to reserve for their use.
Then "mos0.9842" will install its files in "~/mos/bin/" and "~/mos/data/" instead of "~/scripts/bin/" and "~/scripts/data/".
However you can keep using the directories the old versions of "mos" made for your own purpose if you don't mind the mixture of
different kinds of files bucause files in a directory don't affect each other if those don't include codes to do so.

This version will make directories, "~/mos/bin/" and "~/mos/data/" instead of "~/scripts/bin/" and "~/scripts/data/".

To use the extension quizzes in "mos0.995", you must enter "extension 2 mode" with "-N" option.
In the first use of "mos0.995", you must create "~/mos/ext/symbolic/" with "-N" or "-n", "extension mode"
by following the indication of the "mos0.995" if you want to use the extension quizzes.
The developer recommends you to choose "~/mos/ext/real_Ag/" for the source directory to make symbolic lik files.
"~/mos/ext/real_Ag/" includes a new quiz as the fourth one in the choice of Hawaii of Pacific State.

You need also to install "extension_for_995_pack.tar.gz" to use the extension quizzes.
Silver, the code name of the maps of this version means that possible update of the maps after this is only Gold.

Asunaro has tried to extend this web site outside his/her mother country since June 29 2013, however some cracker has seemed to obstruct the advancing. The above DDoS seems one of his/their cracking methods.  Then asunaro may try to use an Internet cafe for the advancing when he/she can afford to do it in the future.  Only money which his/her mother country tries to take away now can save him/her. Asunaro wishes that the cracker understands English.
